Niska Mlekara dairy expects profit of RSD 120 million in 2011
Niska Mlekara dairy plans to register a revenue of RSD 1.8 billion and turn a net profit of RSD 120 million this year, Niska Mlekara Director Zvezdan Gavrilovic said today.
He told the press that Niska Mlekara had registered a revenue of RSD 1.3 billion in 2010 and that the company had doubled the value of export, increasing it to RSD 110 million.

Mancic said that a stable purchase of 80,000 liters of milk per day would make that dairy the fourth largest in Serbia in terms of milk purchase.
Niska Mlekara dairy was founded in 1957 with the funds obtained from UNICEF. After the first unsuccessful privatization in 2004 and termination of the agreement, the ownership structure was consolidated in the period 2007-2009 and now the majority owners of the company are Kruna Komerc, Profiko, Pogled, and Milk Union.
During the first privatization, the number of workers was cut from 314 to 109. Since 2007, that number has been increased to 180. The average salary at the dairy amounts to RSD 28,000.
