Rusians became coowners of Mobtel Srbija, purchase of State-owned share of stocks soon ?

Russian Alpha group bought company BK Trade Moscow, which is one of the founders of Mobtel Srbija. Representative of Alpha group Igor Cukanov spoke on this issue with Prime Minister of Serbia Vojislav Koštunica and ministers Predrag Bubalo and Velimir Ilić and expressed intention that all disputes between BK Trade and PTT Srbija on ownership relations in Mobtel be solved as soon as possible. Both sides pointed out that the conditions had been created for annunciation of tender for sale of State-owned share of Mobtel. Cukanov expressed readiness of Alpha Group to take part in that privatization.

Alpha group wishes to take part in Serbian banking, financial services, trade and electric system. By the way, Alpha group is one of the biggest financial consortiums in Russia, it is also partner of Telenor Norway in mobile telephony operator Vimpelkom, which has 24 million subscribers. Alpha group, through its Alpha Telekom, holds property over part of the third Russian mobile telephony operator Megafon, and it is also owner of share in several mobile telephony operators in Ukraine (Kijivstar) and other countries of former SSSR. Alpha Telekom offers fixed telephony services in Russia and Ukraine (Golden Telekom), whereas Alpha bank is the biggest private bank in Russia. Alpha group is the owner of the biggest supermarket chain in that country and it has big oil company in Tjumen, which it manages together with BP (British Petroleum) – TNK-BP (6 refineries in Russia and Ukraine, 2100 gas stations) .
