Declaration on Reducing EU-Western Balkans Roaming Prices Signed

Mobile operators from the countries of the Western Balkans and the European Union (EU) leaders signed the Declaration on Roaming in Tirana today, which will enable the reduction of the roaming prices between the EU and the Western Balkans.

The signing was attended by the prime ministers of the countries of the Western Balkans and EU representatives, as well as the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), which coordinated the process.

The declaration was signed ahead of the beginning of today’s EU – Western Balkans summit in Tirana.

As the RCC announced on Monday, the declaration is expected to contribute to the reduction of the operating costs of companies, to incite business operations outside the parent country and to provide a boost to tourism in the Western Balkans.
