Roof of Belgrade Arena still leaks, completion of works in July 2005, investments of another €7m

Belgrade Arena, after several days of rain and snow, leaks again. When it started to leak for the first time, 7 years ago, the water was everywhere. Everything was fixed, but then two more leaking spots appeared around the cupolas of the roof window.

In order to finally have Arena completed, arc part of telescopic seats should be installed in big hall, the equipment for kitchen, restaurant and boxes procured and installed, big screen and overstrained fire protection cables installed. Installation of 10 elevators and 4 escalators is almost completed. However, there will be much construction and vocational works on the small hall of Arena, as well as installation of plumbing and sewerage, heating and electric power utilities.

It is necessary to buy equipment for all sports: volleyball, athletics… The only equipment that was procured so far is the basketball equipment. It is expected that everything will be over until July 2005 and ready for start of Volleyball World League Finals.

It is necessary to invest another €7m in all these works. So far, €60m has already been spent.
