Post of Serbia to Become Joint-Stock Company, “But There Will Be No Privatization”

The Public Enterprise Post of Serbia will be transformed into a joint-stock company in order to function and adapt to the new market circumstances much better, the state company says.

– The new company which will arise from this company tomorrow should be a big giant like Telekom Srbija has become a huge potential for our country – said the acting director, Zoran Djordjevic.

He said that, seven or eight months before, he had had the first serious talk regarding the transformation of the Post of Serbia into a JSC.

– My wish and the wish of the finance minister is to do it in the best way possible, to show what it looks like now. The Post of Serbia is transforming in order to function much better, to adapt to the new market circumstances and to be a modern company. The workers will be the least affected by it, it will affect us, the management, the Government, more, because there are many segments that should be done – from strategic documents, normative-legal acts, reorganization, systematization, job valuation, technology and digitization – Djordjevic emphasized in his interview for RTS.
