Procedure to release Mladjan Dinkic from duty initiated

Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic stated yesterday that he had initiated a procedure to release Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic and State Secretary of Finance Slobodan Ilic from duty.

- Every minister is responsible for everything he or she states, and the government must be unanimous - the Prime Minister said at an emergency press conference justifying his decision.

As Cvetkovic explained, President Boris Tadic was informed in the morning, while Dinkic and Ilic were notified on that decision before the conference.
