The construction of the route of the new oil pipeline from Hungary to Novi Sad, 128 kilometers long, in the territory of Serbia will amount to EUR 100 million, as said on the website of the Ministry of Mining and Energy. As added, the investor from the Serbian side would be Transnafta.

The minister of mining and energy of Serbia, Dubravka Djedovic, talked to the acting director of Transnafta a.d. Pancevo, Bogdan Kuzmanovic, about the preparation of the construction of a new oil pipeline between Serbia and Hungary, which would diversify oil supply.

The minister reminded that, during her meeting with the minister of foreign affairs and trade of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto, support to the realization of the project had been expressed and that Transnafta would commence talks with the Hungarian company about the technical details.

– The realization of this project would secure the diversification of the supply of crude oil and we would increase the security of the supply of the Pancevo Oil Refinery. Also, the total costs of the transport of crude oil relative to the transport to Omisalj, and then by the oil pipeline to the border with the Republic of Serbia would be reduced – minister Djedovic said.
