Air Serbia is now 100% Serbian owned, we operate well, we have a pure profit, but we are also looking to avoid potential risks in the future, because what happens does not depend on us alone and that is why I have asked the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to see if they have an interest in becoming a strategic partner of Serbia, stated the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

At the UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries in Doha, he said that some materials and analyses had already been submitted.

Let us remind that the most recent information about the state share in the Serbian national airline carrier arrived in September last year, when the Republic of Serbia became the owner of 83.58% of Air Serbia, and the share of Etihad Airways dropped from 18.03% to 16.42%.

At the time, Serbia increased its share through a new capitalization, paying EUR 15.47 million, whereby, combined with the previous recapitalization from December 2020, it increased its share in the capital of Air Serbia by a total of EUR 115.47 million.
