Construction of spa and wellness center worth EUR 30 million - Hungarian Aquaprofit and Becej signed agreement
The municipality of Becej and Hungarian company Aquaprofit signed on Friday the Declaration of joint intention for implementation of investments, including the construction of a spa center.
As part of the development programme, using Aquaprofit projects in Hungary as a model, a spa and wellness center and accompanying accommodation capacities worth EUR 30 million will be built in the first phase, the municipality of Becej announced.
The municipality will provide a land and the right to exploit thermal waters for the project, while Aquaprofit will contribute with its know-how in the exploitation of mineral, thermal and drinking water, project management, organization of funding, and the complex management.
The two sides also agreed on a cooperation in implementation of other tourist and water power engineering projects, as well as projects involving renewable energy sources and heating energy, which are planned to be implemented on the territory of the municipality of Becej.
Aquaprofit works on projects in the fields of medical tourism, spatial planning and water power engineering. In addition to its operations in Hungary, it also has two daughter companies, one in Romania and the other in Croatia, as well as a branch office in Brussels.
The Hungarian company plans to open an office in Serbia for the needs of the project in Becej.
