20 million CSD for construction of athletics stadium in Sremska Mitrovica

Republic Ministry of Education and Sport will invest 20 million CSD in construction of athletics stadium in Sremska Mitrovica in 2006.

Last year, the Ministry invested 10 million CSD in construction of that stadium, which is built on the location of former playground "Trgovačko".

According to the words of assistant to the director of the Directorate for Construction of City, Aleksandar Spajić, construction of the stands is planned to take place next year. Underneath the stands will be the tunnel with tartan path for preparations of sportsmen in winter period.

When it is finished, the stadium in Sremska Mitrovica will meet high international standards for organization of all athletic contests, except for the biggest world sports events.
