Pevec opens sales center in Split
Striving to double it's market share in 2011, Pevec market chain in bankruptcy will open a 5,000-square-meter sales center in Split on Friday, March 18, the company announced.
The sales center in Split, which is Pevec's fourth largest center, employs 61 people, 60% of whom are former employees of the sales center Pevec Split. The company opened 11 sales centers last year – Bjelovar, Koprivnica, Kutina, Zadar 1 and 2, Rijeka, Pula, Varazdin, Osijek, Zagreb, Jankomir and Zitnjak, while the registered revenue exceeded HRK 350 million.
People at the company point out that, although in bankruptcy, Pevec clears all it's liabilities on a regular basis. What also speaks in favor of the fact that Pevec is on a good way to recover is the growing interest of domestic and foreign suppliers who want to sell their goods through Pevec markets. In the following period, Pevec in bankruptcy will make a bankruptcy plan whose adoption would mean an end to bankruptcy proceedings, that is, a continuation of the operations of a new trade company, and that depends on all creditors of the company.
