Serbia's deficit in the first two months of 2023 is RSD 3 billion

In the first two months of this year, the deficit in the state budget amounted to RSD 3 billion. According to the statement from the Ministry of Finance, revenues were generated in the amount of RSD 280.7 billion, whereas the expenditures amounted to RSD 283.8 billion. In February, a deficit of RSD 9.1 billion was recorded.

According to reports, revenues in the amount of RSD 130.4 billion have been collected during February, out of which RSD 102.7 billion in tax revenues.

- The largest part of tax revenues refers to the payment of VAT in the amount of RSD 57 billion and excise duty in the amount of RSD 19 billion. Non-tax revenues of RSD 9.8 billion were generated, and the inflow of donations in February amounted to RSD 17.9 billion - the ministry said.

Expenditures in the amount of RSD 139.6 billion have been recorded. Expenditures for employees in February amounted to RSD 33.4 billion, capital expenditures RSD 25 billion, OOSO transfers (PIO fund, RFZO, NSZ, SOVO fund) RSD 18.4 billion, and interest payments RSD 17 billion.
