During his introductory speech within the “Serbia – Republic of Korea Round Table”, Momirovic expressed his expectations that, after signing the free trade agreement, the goods trade between the two countries would exceed USD 1 billion annually, according to the website of the Government of Serbia.
The minister said that close to 10,000 people worked at the Korean companies in Serbia at that moment.
He expressed his conviction that “the round table is another great opportunity to strengthen the friendly relations and open new possibilities for the deepening of the economic cooperation, because it is obvious that the space for trade cooperation and investments is much wider and bigger than the current one.”
According to him, last year, the total goods exchange with the Republic of Korea amounted to close to USD 600 million, which is an increase by around 20% compared to 2021.
Momirovic signed the Protocol of Cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Korea with the special envoy of the president of the Republic of Korea, Jang Sung Min.
