From May 1, Price of Electricity for Economy EUR 110.81 per Megawatt

The competent ministry has announced that the electricity price increase of 8% and the gas price increase of 10% are in line with the requests of the IMF.
In the green zone, “cheap electricity” used to cost RSD 1,896, whereas, from May, it will cost RSD 2,084. As for the more expensive tariff, the bill per kilowatt-hour will be RSD 8,336 instead of the current RSD 7,584.
The bill for cheap electricity in the blue zone has been calculated at RSD 2,844 since January 1 this year, and from May 1, it will be RSD 3,126. More expensive electricity will cost RSD 12,504.
Since January this year, one kilowatt-hour of cheap electricity in the red zone has been RSD 5,688, and from May 1, it will be RSD 6,252, whereas, from May 1, the most expensive electricity will be calculated at the price of RSD 25,008.
The ministry notes that these are “the lowest possible price adjustments for electricity (8%) and gas (10%), which are part of the current standby arrangement with the International Monetary Fund”, despite the pressures and the difficult geopolitical situation regarding energy sources in Europe.
