Belgrade Sees 46% More Foreign Tourists in First Quarter Than One Year Before

From January through March, the Serbian capital, according to the data of the Statistics Sector of the City of Belgrade, was visited by 237,965 guests and they realized 513,252 overnight stays.
Tourists from Greece recorded the biggest increase in the number of arrivals at 212%, followed by those from Bulgaria at 132%. It was precisely in those countries that the Tourism Organization of Belgrade organized several promotions last year and at the beginning of the current year.
In the first three months of this year, the most numerous tourists were those from the Russian Federation – 28,009 (an increase by 74%), who realized 114,648 overnight stays (an increase by 94%).
The second place belongs to the guests from Turkey – 13,426 of them, which is an increase by 64% compared to the first three months of last year. They are followed by tourists from Croatia (56% increase), Montenegro (46%), Greece (212%), Bosnia and Herzegovina (13%), North Macedonia (71%), Germany (40%), China and Hong Kong (91%) and Slovenia (28%).
