A new broiler farm, where about 1.3 million chickens will be grown every year, was opened on Thursday in the village of Vajska in the municipality of Bac.

The company Perutnina Ptuj from Slovenia invested in the renovation of Vajska farm to make chicken farming possible in 12 renovated facilities spanning a total of 11,520 square meters.

Perutnina CEO Roman Glaser announced that the company intended to expand its market in Serbia.

Vojvodina Prime Minister Bojan Pajtic said that the province was obtaining one new commercial or infrastructure facility every day and said that the farm in Vajska would employ 20 people.

During the visit to the municipality of Bac, Pajtic also opened a new sports and recreation center in Selenca, worth 18 million dinars. The funds were provided through the Capital Investment Fund of Vojvodina.
