Jovanovic said that the construction of the innovation district, one of the most significant and valuable capital investments, would be an important incentive for new future investments in the creation of new jobs and the overall positive image of Kragujevac and Serbia.

He said that, at the “Innovation Days” in Kragujevac, some of the science-technology achievements had been presented which had positioned Serbia as the regional leader in just six years, giving an opportunity to engineers, innovative and creative people, with whom the state managed to keep up with the fourth technological revolution.

The ambassador of Israel to Serbia, Yahel Vilan, said at the opening of the event that, with the Data Center, the future innovation district and the Center of Excellence, Kragujevac would become the central point for cyber technology in Serbia.

He said that Israel was interested in supporting Serbia and its cyber capacities.

– In the past few years, we have all witnessed the expansion of the existing Israeli IT companies, the opening of new offices, new clients. They are all bringing new knowledge and experience to the factories and universities – Vilan said.
