Credit from State Development Fund of RSD 915 Million for Continuation of Construction of Bus Station in Belgrade

The continuation of the works on the construction of the new bus station in Belgrade will be financed with the proceeds of the loan from the state Development Fund in the amount of RSD 915 million, as shown by the data from the JSC Beogradska autobuska stanica (BAS).

The Vecernje Novosti daily writes that the data were published in the material ahead of the upcoming regular GM of the company, which, according to them, means that the workers could soon appear at the “neglected” construction site in Block 42 in New Belgrade.

The agreement on the loan for the continuation of the first phase of the works, the daily writes, says that, according to the decision of the Government of Serbia, at the beginning of June, “property of great value has been put at the disposal” of BAS.

The foundation stone for the new bus station was laid down in 2018, around EUR 20 million has been invested so far, and the station area with platforms and the foundation of the station building has been built.

The future station building will have 26,000 square meters, a gas station, supermarkets, hospitality facilities, as well as a total of 65 departure, arrival and commercial platforms, Novosti writes.
