The motion to dismiss the minister of economy, Rade Basta, signed by the president of the United Serbia party, Dragan Markovic Palma, arrived to the Government of Serbia yesterday.

The motion, as said for nova.rs is addressed to the prime minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, who has notified Basta that he will no longer be a minister.

In a statement for nova.rs, Basta said the day before that he had learned from the media that he had been excluded from United Serbia, following the announcement of this information by the party’s leader, Dragan Markovic Palma.

He added that Brnabic could relieve him of his duties if she had complaints about his work.

– I do my job seriously every day, seeking solutions for the progress of our economy and the preservation of the jobs of all our workers. If anyone has any complaints about my work in the government, the prime minister can talk to me any time and present them to me – Basta said.

Minister Basta has advocated nuclear energy in Serbia for years, and recently he has also been advocating imposing sanctions against Russia and having a dialogue with protesters in Serbia.
