Petram Resort & Residences, Unique Tourism Complex in Croatia, Opens in Savudrija – Investment of MK Group and Aleksandar Group Worth Over EUR 100 Million

Petram Resort & Residences, a unique hotel-residential complex with integrated premium content and services which guarantee a five-star vacation experience, opened at an official ceremony in Savudrija, in the presence of a large number of guests from the social and public life. Petram Resort & Residences is an investment of MK Group in Croatian tourism, whose value is over EUR 100 million and which was realized in partnership with Aleksandar Group.

The complex spreads on nearly 85,000 m2 and contains 55 villas and 197 apartments featuring modern design and built in line with the highest green construction standards. In addition to accommodation capacities available for purchase or rent, within the resort, the guests have at their disposal three restaurants, two pools, a beach, wellness and sports features, but also property management with 24-hour support. The trademark of Petram is the longest infinity rooftop pool in Europe, 105 meters long.

On behalf of the investors, MK Group and Aleksandar Group, the attendees were addressed by Mihailo Jankovic, the CEO of MK Group.

– This project is a synergy between the rich experience in construction of Aleksandar Group, with over 2 million square meters built, and the expertise of MK Group, which operates in luxury hotel management for 15 years now. We entered the project believing in Savudrija’s potentials, and Petram has become a symbol of a new, cosmopolitan Istria for us. The development of this destination, while preserving its values, is one of the promises that MK Group is giving in the year of the big jubilee, when we are celebrating 40 years since the founding – Jankovic said.

– Such investments in Croatian tourism contribute to the quality and diversification of the destination and I believe that they will additionally enrich the tourism offer of Istria. I am glad that this premium tourism project complies with all the principles of sustainability, because that is the main strategic orientation of the development of Croatian tourism. The Government of the Republic of Croatia will continue creating an inciting and safe investment environment in tourism – pointed out Nikolina Brnjac, the minister of tourism and sports of the Republic of Serbia.

The ceremony of the opening of Petram Resort & Residences was attended by Vili Bassanese, the mayor of Umag.

– The benefits of Petram Resort – the influence on employment, the use of top-quality autochthonous products, the influence on gourmet and sports tourism, are benefits for the whole community. I am glad that another valuable investment has been realized in the Umag area and I thank everyone who has taken part in the realization of this project – said the mayor of Umag.
In the past two years, over 100 construction companies, over 60 suppliers of various equipment, as well as over 1,700 workers, have taken part in the project of the construction of Petram Resort. This is the second big investment of MK Group in the Savudrija area, where Hotel Kempinski Adriatic, owned by this company, already operates successfully.
