At the toll booth Presevo ahead of the North Macedonian border, a truck with mobile counters has been set up, where the existing tags for electronic toll collection can be bought or reconfigured so that they work in North Macedonia too, stated the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Goran Vesic.

He said that, that way, those who were heading toward North Macedonia without having reconfigured the electronic toll collection tag had been provided with the opportunity to do so on the road, before entering North Macedonia.

– The reconfiguration takes no more than ten minutes, and your ETC tag is linked to the payment card. If you had money on the tag, it is returned to you to your current account and you can use the tag in both Serbia and North Macedonia – Vesic clarified and added that the tag was operational 30 minutes after the reconfiguration.

As he announced, the Serbian tag will start working in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Greece soon.

Also, the web page openbalkan-etc.com is available, featuring general information about the “Open Balkan ETC” project and enabling the registration of tag devices on the web platform.

At 29 VMSs (variable message signs) on highways, messages are set up which direct the drivers to the places where they can reconfigure their tag devices for “Open Balkan ETC” – Auto-Moto Association of Serbia, PE Post of Serbia, point of sale of PE Roads of Serbia.

At the moment, the tag devices can be reconfigured in a total of 24 locations, namely – give points of sale of PE Roads of Serbia, four points of sale/branch offices of PE Post of Serbia, and 15 points of sale of Auto-Moto Association of Serbia.
