The project, according to the official website of the Aleksinac local self-government, lasts 30 months and is a continuation of the help provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia to vulnerable rural areas in this part of Serbia.
Sixty women who produce traditional food and provide rural tourism services are taking part in the project.
In May and June, four introductory workshops were held, with the topic of women’s rights and the affirmation of equal opportunities, where the participants had the opportunity to also learn in more detail about the schedule of activities and present their business ideas.
The project “The Strengthening of Women’s Entrepreneurship and the Role of Women in Rural Areas in Southeast Serbia” is co-financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and realized by Caritas Slovenia and the Belgrade Archdiocese Caritas.
