– The Serbian Armed Forces are given priority and the needs of the SAF will be met by the factories from the defense industry group. We will thereby additionally boost the defense capacities of our country, that is, SAF, understanding all the circumstances that surround us and following all the facts which are relevant when it comes to estimating the safety of our state. That doesn’t mean that Serbia is preparing for war, it doesn’t mean that we are calling for war, but we are carefully estimating all the security risks and challenges, following all that happens and acting in accordance with that. – pointed out the minister of defense of Serbia, Milos Vucevic.
According to the website of the ministry, he added that “at the moment, commercial affairs cannot have priority over the issue of the security of the homeland and everything that is produced in the arms industry needs to be primarily directed toward the SAF in line with all its needs.”
– We will see what the situation is like after 30 days and whether the moratorium on the exports will continue or go back to regular activities. The arms industry will be able to contract commercial jobs with third parties – Vucevic emphasized.
