LED displays from Novi Sad in European buses - Novatronic negotiates contract worth €1.5m
Novi Sad-based Novatronic, leader in the production of electronic LED displays in our market, is in the final phase of negotiations with the city public transport company of the capital of a European country on the shipping of few hundred sets of bus displays.
- Based on a similar contract, but of smaller proportions, we will soon deliver these displays to a domestic private transport company. Among our previous customers are the City Transport Company (GSP) Beograd, GSP Novi Sad, Lasta, Veolia Transport, Vulovic Transport in Kragujevac, private transport companies in Belgrade, Pula Promet and Osjek Promet in Croatia, GRAS Sarajevo, and many others - Milenko Miloscin from Novatronic says in a statement for eKapija.
According to the words of Mr. Miloscin, the most interesting markets for Novatronic are the countries of former Soviet Union because of the free trade agreements. In order to enter the markets of Western Europe, the company needs a strategic partner and it is in the process of finding one. The company in Novi Sad last year registered an enviable value of exports to Belarus where they equipped trolleybuses with about 160 sets of displays. Some of these trolleybuses were later imported to Serbia (83), while the rest were exported to other CIS countries.
- We expect to soon agree all the details of a contract with our partners in Europe. The value of the contract is about EUR 1.5 million and its signing will represent the beginning of a long-term cooperation - says Miloscin, adding that over 600 buses in Serbia are equipped with Novatronic displays.
Our interlocutor explains that most city buses in Belgrade are equipped with electronic turn signals and that a small number of them, about 30 percent, use a piece of paper with the bus line number written on it. The situation is similar in Novi Sad, while the city transport in the Serbian provinces has made much smaller investments in that field.
- We are generally satisfied with the shipping volume of our electronic displays. Of course, that does not mean that it cannot be any better. The problem is that many transport companies and manufacturers we are cooperating with in our country are in an unenviable situation. We hope that the situation will improve either through an increased volume of production or through privatization. Also, new trams that are being imported and will be imported are already equipped with displays – Miloscin explains.
Novatronic's offer also includes exchange rate lists, clocks, solutions for queue administration, information displays, multimedia exchange rate lists, displays for bus stops, traffic control systems, pharmacy crosses, traffic signs for highways, etc.
- We are also working on the development of a GPS/G3 system that should enable connection of all our buses with the central system. We take pride in the knowledge and innovative solutions of our experts. The equipment we use is either imported or purchased from domestic distributors. Among our most significant suppliers are Tagor Electronic and Vita Elko. When making our products, we are using LED technology, and we also have our own automatic assembly line. By using new technical and technological solutions, we strive to modernize the product in order to satisfy the needs of our current and future customers.
