Mesopromet in Jagodina to supply meat and meat products to hotels and restaurants in Chalkidiki - Greeks to receive 2 ha of land in return for arrival of investors
(Jagodina)
Jagodina-based Mesopromet will be supplying meat and meat products to hotels and restaurants in Chalkidiki, Jagodina Mayor Dragan Markovic Palma announced Tuesday.
He said that Jagodina and the city of Kassandra in Greece would sign a town twinning act in September.
An economic-political delegation of Jagodina, consisting of 70 members, is staying for three days in the Greek region of Chalkidiki and its capital city of Kassandra.
- We have agreed with the mayor of Kassandra that Jagodina donates two hectares of land in the industrial zone to that city, while they should, in return, send some of their investors to Jagodina - said Markovic.
He added that it had also been agreed that two students from Kassandra would come to study in Jagodina and choose one of 12 professions. In that way, the tradition from 20 years ago, when 100 students from Greece were studying in Jagodina, will be renewed.
Markovic also said that he had spoken with the mayor of Kassandra about Serbia's admission to the EU and stressed that Greece was advocating for Serbia to get the status of a candidate as soon as possible.
