Untermolo Planning Construction of Solar Power Plant in Subotica – 10,920 Panels to Be Set Up on Land of Former Azotara

The Novi Sad-based company Untermolo plans to build the solar power plant Bikovo 1 in Subotica, and the City of Subotica has adopted the decision which determines the necessity of the preparation of an environmental impact assessment study for this project.

The projected power of the solar power plant is 5 MW, and it is planned on an area of around 6 ha, south of the solar power plant Bikovo. The land is located next to the former Azotara (fertilizer plant).

– The project of the solar power plant Bikovo and the project of the solar power plant Bikovo 1 are two separate projects, except that the switchgear of the solar power plant Bikovo is located in the same facility as the substation of the solar power plant Bikovo 1 – the decision says.

The preliminary design, which was prepared by Elektrovat doo Beograd, in line with the investor’s concept, entails the solar (photovoltaic) power plant with an installed power in the panels of around 5.95 MWp, that is, 5 MW on the AC side.

The entire complex will consist of a photovoltaic field which will consist of 10,920 photovoltaic panels, as well as 28 inverters for connecting to the AC distribution network.

For the purposes of transferring the electrical energy to the distribution network, the plan is to build the substation TS2 and a 20-kV switchyard within TS2. The substation TS2 is not covered by this preliminary design. Instead, it is encompassed by the preliminary design for the photovoltaic power plant Bikovo.
