Zrenjanin-Based Company Mehler Protective System Announces Opening of New Production Hall

Mehler Protective System DOO, which does specialized textile production – production of protective equipment and special-purpose equipment and which operates within the business zone Bagljas, is to open a new production hall, it is said on the official city website of Zrenjanin.

– Thanks to such business collectives, the concept of working in our industrial zones fully shows its effect and true capacity. Mehler Protective System was among the first greenfield investors in the industrial zone in Bagljas. In the fifteen years of operations, they have expanded their production capacities twice, once in 2011 and once in 2022 – the mayor of Zrenjanin, Simo Salapura, said during the visit to the production facilities.

As he added, an important indicator of the success of the operations are also new employments and, at the moment, there are 700 employees in Mehler, they are a stable employer, they are maximally export-oriented and Germany is among the top three countries to which products from Zrenjanin and its area are exported, with a share of close to 20% of the total exports from the territory of central Banat.

– We believe that the expansion of the capacities in Mehler will contribute to having exports to that country be even bigger. There is nearly no company which, upon its arrival to Zrenjanin, has not expanded its capacities or built a new hall – Salapura said.

According to the director, Darinka Radic, in addition to Zrenjanin, since February this year, production has been going on in the facility in Aleksandrovo, municipality of Nova Crnja, where there are currently around 80 employees.
