The USAID Business Enabling Project will be launched tomorrow in the City Assembly of Belgrade, with the aim of helping the Serbian government improve the competitiveness of the Serbian economy and its private sector business, USAID announced.

The project will be officially launched by Mary Warlick, the U.S. ambassador to Serbia, Milica Delevic, director of the European Integration Office, and Verica Kalanovic, deputy prime minister of Serbia.

This five-year initiative, worth USD 16.7 million, will be implemented based on the priorities of the Serbian government and economy.

The project creators will be working with the government to remove the regulatory obstacles impeding the competitiveness, strengthen the macroeconomic policy and public financial management, increase both stability of the financial sector and access to the development funds for private businesses, reads the statement.
