State Data Center in Kragujevac Gets Certificate for Highest Level of Security

The State Data Center from Kragujevac got the EN 50600 standard for meeting the highest level of reliability, security and equipment and data storage efficiency - certificate for Class 4 from the company TÜVIT, as announced on the website of the Government of Serbia.

EN 50600 is a European standard that refers to the design, construction and management of data centers and similar digital infrastructures. For now, only eight data centers in Western European countries have the certificate for Class 4, so the State Data Center in Kragujevac is the first from Eastern and Southeastern Europe.

The managing partner at Arthur D. Little for Austria and Serbia, Bela Virag, said that the company Arthur D. Little was proud for playing the key role in supporting the Government of Serbia in designing, planning and developing the State Data Center in Kragujevac and that, from that day, it was internationally recognized by getting the EN 50600 Class 4 certificate, held by only several elite data centers in the world.

According to him, this recognition is not just a fantastic achievement for Serbia and its people, but also announces the ascent of the Kragujevac Data Center as the regional champion in technological infrastructure.

The CEO of TÜV Nord Group, Dirk Stenkamp, pointed out that data centers had the great potential for the saving of energy, raw materials and costs, and added that they were the backbone of digitization.

The company TÜVIT is part of the TÜV Nord Group and is an independent agency for assessing infrastructure standards for IT services.
