Linglong Planning for Annual Production Volume to Reach 12 Million Car Tires and Two Million Truck Tires – Cooperation with Technical Faculty in Zrenjanin

The agreement on the business-technical cooperation between the Mihajlo Pupin Technical Faculty and the company Linglong was signed in that higher education institution.

The mayor of Zrenjanin, Simo Salapura, pointed out that the agreement brought benefits to both the faculty and the company in the long term and that the cooperation would be very important for the future development of expert workers and the economy of Zrenjanin, it is said on the website of the City of Zrenjanin.

The general manager of Linglong International Europe, Wang Lijang, stated that the cooperation of Linglong with the Technical Faculty was a very important opportunity for the company which had invested EUR 800 million until then in the construction of the factory complex in Zrenjanin, employed over 800 people and thereby become an important member of the local economic and social community.

He added that the company planned to have the annual production volume reach 12 million tires for passenger cars and 2 million tires for trucks and to employ a total of 1,200 workers. He added that, in that sense, the company needed support from the local community, including the Mihajlo Pupin Technical Faculty, with which the cooperation would encompass the awarding of scholarships, the development of new subjects and courses, professional practice for students and sponsorships, “which will be a big gain for both sites, as well as for the whole Zrenjanin, whose young people will have the opportunity to develop professionally and achieve their goals in their home town,” it is said.

The dean of the Mihajlo Pupin Technical Faculty, professor Milan Nikolic, PhD, said that, thanks to the professional practice and scholarships, the agreement was an important opportunity for students, but also the economy, which would be able to meet its HR needs in Zrenjanin in the long term, due to which the faculty had established a new position of the sub-dean for the economy, to be in charge of connecting with companies and their cooperation with the faculty.
