STP Mihajlo Pupin to Be Attractive to Large Number of Industries – Employment of Young Engineers Planned

The construction of the Science-Technology Park (STP) Mihajlo Pupin was the topic of the conversation between the minister of domestic and foreign trade of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, and the newly appointed ambassador of China to Serbia, Li Ming, and the president of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), Wang Tongzhou.

On that occasion, Momirovic pointed out that the continuation of this project would be oriented toward the fields of information-communications technologies, which would enable the employment of young engineers in the field of IT and other sophisticated industries.

– Not only have we managed to reactivate this important project by joining forces, but we will also make this science-technology park attractive to a large number of industries through thorough planning – the minister pointed out, as announced on the website of the Government of Serbia.

According to him, “the construction of this park will additionally contribute to the attractiveness of our economy, especially if we take into consideration that the development and implementation of high technology are key instigators of economic growth, but also sources of competitiveness, the creation of a high added value and the creation of well-paid jobs.”

The total number of employees in the sector of ICT services in Serbia, as he pointed out, is higher than 100,000, and in the first seven months of this year, the total export of ICT services exceeded USD 2 billion.
