Companies from Belgrade and China to Build Solar Power Plant of 150 MW in Bela Palanka – Additional Investments Also Planned

The Belgrade-based company AVR Solar Park Istok, together with the Chinese company POWERCHINA-Intl, will build a solar power plant with a capacity of up to 150 MW in Bela Palanka.

After all the legal procedures are carried out, the construction of the facility will begin next year, according to the website of the local self-government, and the investor is also planning the realization of new projects and the construction of new facilities with a capacity of up to 500 MW.

The president of the municipality of Bela Palanka, Goran Miljkovic, signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the representatives of the companies for the construction of the facility called “Solar Power Plant Bela Palanka” in the area of the cadaster municipalities Mokliste and Donja Glama.

– Another big investor has given its trust to Bela Palanka and the realization of this project will mean better energy efficiency, but also the inflow of additional financial funds which we will direct at additional economic development of Bela Palanka – said the president of the municipality of Bela Palanka, Goran Miljkovic.

– We have picked Bela Palanka because we have recognized good associates, but the place is also positioned in the way that allows for the construction of such structures, because there is a high number of sunny days per year. The support we have received from the local self-government of the municipality of Bela Palanka is big and we fully believe that we will realize this project in the best way possible – says Milica Andric of AVR Solar Park Istok.
