Sirbegovic Engineering: A company that has been building companies for 30 years

Over 11 million m2 of space in more than 6,000 buildings throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Austria and Germany was built by the Bosnian-Herzegovinian construction company Sirbegovic during its three decades of existence.

Gallery Belgrade and IKEA in Belgrade, COVID Hospital in Batajnica, Arena in Zagreb, Luka Gaženica in Zadar, Tehnomax in Podgorica, BCC Bingo in Sarajevo, these are just some of the projects in which this leader in the region in the production of reinforced concrete and prefab structures has woven his decades of knowledge and experience.

It all started more than three decades ago, now as far back as 1990, when Arhitekt was founded, and five years later, the Construction Holding Company Širbegović was created. With the dawn of the new century, expansion begins in neighboring countries, and builders build the first buildings in Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia.

Today, the Širbegović company has become one of the leading construction companies in the region, specializing in construction works using modern technology of prefabricated AB structures.

Modern construction technology, quality and innovative products, capable workers, along with favorable prices, contributed to the company gaining the trust of numerous clients. In the countries of the European Union, such as Croatia, Slovenia and Germany, it generates 80% of its revenue, while the rest is reserved for BiH, Serbia and Montenegro.

Quality, speed of execution of works, maximum adherence to deadlines and a comprehensive offer are the trump cards with which the company comes out to the most demanding customers. The installed production capacities enable the construction of up to 800,000 square meters of buildings, as well as the production, transportation and assembly of up to 3,000 m2 per day.

From design to assembly – Everything in one place

The company provides design and prefab construction services for all purposes. The production program is focused on the construction of commercial, warehouse, service, agricultural, sports facilities, as well as hotels and schools. A smaller part of the capacity is engaged for the construction of residential facilities and bridges.

Thanks to a well-coordinated team, the journey from an idea to a finished object is quick. The project office of Sirbegovic Engineering provides services for the creation of complete project documentation, conceptual and main projects, interior projects and the completed state with all phases. Engineers of various professions, from architects, construction, mechanical and electrical engineers, to hydraulic engineers, traffic engineers and technicians, ensure that the project becomes a reality, and often in a very short time.

The construction is manufactured in a factory, in strictly defined cycles, so the production times are extremely short. The teams of fitters are professional and well-coordinated and perform their work quickly and without error. All elements are tested after production, and concrete samples are controlled at the Institute for Materials Testing in Tuzla, so there is no possibility of error. On the other hand, thanks to savings in formwork, material, transport and assembly, prefabricated construction is significantly cheaper than conventional construction.

The biggest capital – The People

Despite all the successes, including participation in the construction of the project in the Austrian city of Villach, an investment of over 1.6 billion EUR, the company proudly points out that its biggest capital is its people. Without satisfied employees, there is no company stability - this is the motto of company founder Faruk Sirbegovic. And there are 500 of them here, including subsidiaries in Zagreb, Ljubljana, Belgrade, Podgorica, as well as subsidiaries in Vienna and Munich.

The company does not neglect its attitude towards the environment. In recent years, it has been investing significant funds in the development of renewable energy sources, especially solar and geothermal energy. 3 MW of solar panels have been installed on the roofs of the facility, which significantly contributes to the reduction of environmental pollution.
