Fufeng Group Interested in Investing in Municipality of Odzaci

The network of roads, railroads and canals, together with the Port of Bogojevo and the border crossing, offers numerous possibilities for investments of Chinese companies in two industrial zones in Odzaci and Karavukovo, Dnevnik learns from those in charge in this municipality in western Backa.

As they clarified, it is still early to talk about potential investments, but companies from China recognized the municipality of Odzaci as an area that is ready to cooperate and offer its economic potentials for cooperation. So far, in Odzaci, two working meetings have been held between representatives of the local self-government and the Chinese Fufeng Group, which processes agricultural products.

The Chinese delegation has been visiting municipalities in Serbia for a year, all to the end of learning about the economic potentials. Three municipalities are in the focus of their interest – Odzaci, Apatin and Prahovo.

Fufeng Group Limited produces biochemical products based on corn using the fermentation technology. The company’s products include glutamine acid and xanthan gum. This is the biggest private-owned producer of this flavor enhancer and the second biggest producer of xanthan gum in continental China.

In the Odzaci industrial zone, the companies Magna Seating, Greiner Packaging and Hipol operate successfully. This industrial zone is fully equipped with infrastructure and utilities, there are electrical, gas and water and sewer installations, as well as a paved road in the industrial zone itself.
