Average Net Salary in Serbia in August RSD 86,112, Gross Salary EUR 1,000 – Half of Employees Earn up to RSD 66,400

Average gross salaries and wages calculated for August 2023 amounted to RSD 118,918, while average net salaries and wages amounted to RSD 86,112, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced today.

Increase of gross salaries and wages, and net salaries and wages, in the period January–August 2023, relative to the same period last year amounted to 15.2% in nominal terms, i.e. 0.7% in real terms, the announcement says.

Compared with the same month last year, average gross salaries and wages and net salaries and wages for August 2023 increased by 14.4% in nominal terms, and 2.6% in real terms.

Median net salaries and wages for August 2023 amounted to RSD 66,401, meaning that 50% of employees realized wages and salaries up to the mentioned amount, the Statistical Office announced.
