In Shanghai, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic discussed with the representatives of Shanghai Fengling Renewable their plans for additional investment in green energy in Serbia, with an emphasis on the production of electricity from renewable sources, the Government of Serbia announced.

Shanghai Fengling Renewable cooperates with one of the most important Chinese investors in Serbia, Zijin, in the field of renewable energy sources.

– The construction of a hybrid plant would satisfy almost all of Zijin's needs for electricity, further reduce the emission of harmful gases and also provide a significant amount of "green" hydrogen for export – the Prime Minister stated.

Brnabic also met with representatives of the Chinese companies Huawei, CCCC and CRBC

The Prime Minister discussed with representatives of CCCC and CRBC, which have built and are working on some of the most important infrastructure projects in Serbia, the dynamics and deadlines of current projects, as well as future investments, considering that the Government's firm determination is to continue with even stronger and better infrastructural connection.

CCCC is the first Chinese company to enter the Serbian infrastructure market.

Brnabic also met with leaders of Huawei, a company that has been operating in Serbia for 18 years and employs more than 200 people, and in the previous three years alone, paid more than EUR 40 million in taxes into the Serbian state budget.

Bearing in mind the development of new technologies, the Prime Minister expressed her belief that this company will additionally contribute to the increase in the export of ICT services from Serbia, which is expected to reach EUR 3.8 billion this year.
