The Municipality of Opovo has announced an early public inspection on the occasion of the preparation of the Detailed Regulation Plan of the solar power plant in Opovo and Baranda.

The plan encompasses an area of 416 ha, and it is commissioned by the company Ribarstvo d.o.o. from Baranda. As we were told by the Municipality of Opovo, the plan is for the solar panels to be installed in the section of the fish pond above the surface.

The plan envisages for the fish pond and the solar power plant to take up 394 ha, that is, nearly 95% of the land covered by the plan.

As said, within the borders of the proposed plan is an international protected area for birds (IBA). In the contact zone with the proposed plan are also the habitats of protected and strictly protected species of national importance.

The plan is prepared by the PE Urban Planning Institute of Vojvodina, and the early public inspection will last until November 22.
