Lidl to Open in Sava Centar Soon

The new Lidl store in Belgrade will open within the renovated Sava Centar at 9 Milentija Popovica Street on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 8 AM sharp. The first visitors to the Lidl store in Sava Centar will be welcomed by a specially designed interior and a somewhat different arrangement of the product categories, developed through the adaptation of the store to the space of Sava Centar, which was pronounced a cultural good two years ago.

Sava Centar is the largest international congress, cultural and business center in Serbia, which was pronounced a cultural good in 2021 thanks to its unique architecture and importance, at the proposition of the Institute for Protection of Monuments, and Lidl Srbija has placed its store within the shopping part of Sava Centar in compliance with all the requests of the specific architectural and urban planning concept.

– Due to the adaptation of the look of our store to the space in which we are located, the Lidl store in Sava Centar will have an authentic and different interior than the rest of our facilities, as well as a changed arrangement of the product categories, but it will offer to the consumers the full Lidl range of products and retail space that they are used to and which is the standard for Lidl in Serbia – says Jasmina Srndic, Head of Corporate Communications at Lidl Srbija.

With the opening of this store, the Lidl team will expand by over 30 new colleagues, which, like all the other employees in Lidl, will have a five-day work week and every minute of their work paid, as well as special benefits, like private health insurance under equal conditions for all. The working hours of the store will be from 8 AM till 10 PM every day of the week.

So far, Lidl Srbija proudly numbers 67 stores throughout the country, and with this new addition, it continues its expansion in order to enable all consumers to enjoy the carefully selected range of products.
