Prime Minister Cvetkovic opens Summer Vivaldi Forum on June 24 - Experts and businessmen on Mokra Gora to discuss business climate in 2012

The Summer Vivaldi Forum "Let's Plan 2012", dedicated to macroeconomic and economic trends important for planning the operations in 2012, will be held on Mokra Gora between June 23 and 25.

The forum will be opened on Friday, June 24, by Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic with his speech on Economic Policy before the Challenges of Exiting the Crisis and Post-crisis Stabilization.

The forum's special guest is Dr. Steve H. Henke, famous professor of applied economics at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and an economic adviser to presidents and governments of many countries – from the USA to countries in transition, a columnist for Forbes magazine and one of the most influential people of the world according to World Trade Magazine. The theme of the speech that will be given by Professor Henke, who is staying in Serbia as a guest of the Institute of Economics, is Reflections on the Panic of 2009.

This event, which will gather about hundred representatives of domestic and foreign companies, enterprises, banks, organizations, institutions, private and public sector, is organized by the Institute of Economics - Mokra Gora School of Management in association with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

- All serious companies are already now starting to make plans for the next year and the aim of the Summer Vivaldi Forum is to gather members of managing and supervisory boards, director generals and managers in charge of finance, strategic planning and analyses, as well as representatives of the state, the economy sector and international organizations, in order to all together define social-economic trends for as realistic planning of operations for 2012 as possible – says Srdjan Janicijevic, director of the Institute of Economics and the founder of the Mokra Gora School of Management.

Speakers at this event are as follows (in order of appearance): Aleksandar Vlahovic, chairman of the Managing Board of the Institute of Economics and host of the event, Vidosava Dzagic, vice-president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Vladimir Vuckovic, editor of the magazine MAT (Macroeconomic Analyses and Trends), Branislav Grujic, president of SPK Privrednik, Nikola Zelic, partner at Factis, Ratko Bogdanovic, assistant director at the Directorate for Economic and Financial Affairs of EPS, Zoran Sretenovic, director of the Center for Restructuring and Cooperation with MFI Zeleznice Srbije, Goran Jesic, mayor of Indjija, Dragan Sagovnovic, executive director of the Institute of Economics, Verica Kalanovic, deputy prime minister of Serbia, Bogdan Lissovolik, IMF permanent representative in Serbia, Bojan Markovic, vice governor of the National Bank of Serbia, Vladimir Cupic, chairman of the Executive Board of Hypo Alpe Adria Bank, Predrag Mihajlovic, chairman of the Executive Board of Credy Banka Kragujevac, Ninko Tesic, director general of Impol Seval – Aluminum Mill Sevojno, Milica Bisic, professor of public finance at FEFA and market director at KPMG, and Marinko Bosnjak, head of the Department for Macroeconomic Analyses and Projections at the Ministry of Finance.

The forum will also include a round table on Privatization in Serbia – Ten Years Later, the speakers at which will be Aleksandar Vlahovic, minister of economy and privatization in the period 2001–2004, Predrag Bubalo, minister of economy in the period 2004–2007, and Vladislav Cvetkovic, director of the Privatization Agency.
