Energy Agency Gives Approval Regarding Rules for Joint Auctions with Neighboring Countries

The Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has given approval regarding the rules which regulate the procedure and the manner of the distribution of the transfer capacities on the borders between the trading zones of the transfer system operator of the Republic of Serbia, EMS AD, and the transfer system operators of North Macedonia (MEPSO), Romania (Transelectrica), Bosnia and Herzegovina (NOSBiH), Bulgaria (ESO), Croatia (HOPS) and Montenegro (CGES) for 2024.


– With the organization of joint auctions, a more efficient usage of the capacities on the borders between trading zones is enabled, which improves the conditions for the development of the electrical energy market in southeast Europe and its integration into the European market – the Energy Agency says in its announcement.
