After obtaining regulatory approvals and meeting all the requirements, the Slovenian Big Bang completed the acquisition of one of the most recognized Serbian online traders, BC Group, and became the owner of a 100% stake in the company. With the completed acquisition, Big Bang Group has officially entered the promising Serbian market and today, through four online stores and 25 branch offices, it is available to 16 million residents of four countries, the company says in a press release.

– As soon as next year, we are beginning to expand the network of pickup points, because we are aware that we need to be as available to our customers as possible. According to the latest trends and projections, in four years, in Serbia, as many as 4.4 million individuals in Serbia will be shopping online. That is why we have already commenced additional employments, and by 2027, we will have twice as many employees as we had last year – said the now majority owner of BC Group, Oleg Kulidzan, who remains the company’s director even after the transaction.

– The finalization of the acquisition of BC Group and the entrance to the Serbian market is a new, important turning point in the development and regional expansion of Big Bang Group, which now offers much more than just tech products to customers. Our goals for the upcoming period are certainly very ambitious, but I am sure that they are achievable. By 2027, we want to achieve a 25% market share in online sales in Serbia. By increasing the range of products, expanding the group of products available for sale to sports, fitness equipment, tools, toys, furniture and home equipment, by expanding the network of pickup points, by increasing the storage capacities and by securing the best possible customer experience, we want our income in Serbia to increase to close to EUR 55 million next year, and by 2027, we plan to reach an income of around EUR 90 million – Uros Mesojedec, the CEO of Big Bang, said upon the completion of the acquisition.

According to the initial estimates, the entire Big Bang Group, excluding BC Group, will realize an income of around EUR 300 million this year. The ambitions of Big Bang are for it to become the first digital retail and online market in the region, which will provide the best user experience to its customers every step of the way, it is added.

The companies within Big Bang Group are expected to have an income of EUR 370 to 380 million in 2024 and around 700 employees.
