Foundation Stone for Construction of Pharmaceutical Company SCHOTT Pharma in Jagodina Laid Down

The foundation stone for the construction of a new factory of the German pharmaceutical company SCHOTT Pharma, where 350 workers should be employed, was laid down yesterday in the Industrial Zone CT Park in Jagodina.

Glass ampules for the storage of medical drugs will be produced at the new factory, and 130 workers will be employed in the first phase.

In Serbia, over 1,000 companies operate at the moment, employing over 76,000 workers, and Germany is first when it comes to the value of the total investments in our country with 12.8%, said the minister of domestic and foreign trade of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, during the laying down of the foundation stone.

– Companies from Germany are present in all vital sectors of our economy. We all know what it means for a state when companies from this country open their branch office, factories and production capacities in it. On the other hand, thanks to its natural resources, economy structure, market size and technological connectedness, Serbia is an important partner of Germany in the region of Southeast Europe – said Momirovic.
