EXPO 2027 Complex to Be Reachable by Both Waterway and Fast Railroad, Swimming Stadium Also Planned – “Additional Investments Will Be Required”

The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said during yesterday’s address that the EXPO 2027 project would require additional investments.

– We will literally have to raise a new city. There will be around 1,500 apartments for around 3,000 participants in EXPO there – he said.

Vucic announced new apartments for EXPO 2027, a new Fair, a national stadium, but also a stadium for swimming and water sports.

– Along with the one in Budapest, it will be the most modern one in Europe – he said.

A terminal on the Sava is also to be built, so EXPO will be reachable by a waterway, Vucic announced.

He added that a fast railroad from the airport to EXPO, but also to Obrenovac, would be built as well.

As he said, the construction of new hotels is expected as well, in order to increase the tourism offer.

– At EXPO, we will connect the whole Serbia. We will invest a lot in each of our cities, in all parts of our country. There will literally be a miracle on Kablar. It will be a whole new tourism destination for the entire Balkans – Vucic promised.
