United Media to Launch New Weekly Where Former NIN Journalists Will Work

United Media has announced that it will soon launch a new weekly in the Serbian market, in which, as they say, “the entire former editorial staff of the NIN weekly will continue their work.”

– We believe that there is room in the media scene now for a new weekly, which will foster the highest standards of independent and professional work, and which will be edited and created by top professionals who have built and kept their integrity carefully over the past decades – the press release says.

The former NIN editorial staff, including Vesna Malisic and Milan Culibrk, will be part of the new weekly edition, which, they add, will be available to readers throughout the country very soon.

– Despite the illusion of the richness of the media scene and a wide selection, we are witnesses to the fact that the freedom of the media is at a very low level and access to the truth is restricted for the citizens. Being professional is an especially big challenge today. Through the work of our media, we have always been dedicated to professional, objective, unbiased and independent journalism and I am deeply convinced that this will also be the case with the new weekly – emphasized the CEO of United Media, Aleksandra Subotic.
