Defining of New Areas Meant for Business Operations Planned in Industrial Zone in Kac – New Facilities of Continental and Lianbo Expected

The City Assembly of Novi Sad has adopted the decision on the preparation of amendments to the Spatial Plan of the City of Novi Sad, that is, the location of the Industrial Zone in Kac, south from Zrenjaninski Put Street, and the space covered by the decision amounts to 129.47 ha. This is a location in which some of the big names already operate, and the plan of the city authorities in Novi Sad is to fill out the surface in this industrial zone to the last square meter, the mayor of Novi Sad, Milan Djuric, said for Dnevnik.

– The total area of the Industrial Zone Kac amounts to 190.47 ha, and in addition to other big names, the famous German giant Continental Automotive Serbia operates in this zone, in a factory of as much as 30,000 m2. Right next to the already built factory, Continental has bought additional areas of land for the purpose of the future planned expansion. The primary goal in this industrial zone is to define new areas intended for business operations, in line with the needs of the tenants and the strategic orientation of the City toward the development of these features in said location. Including the zones planned for business operations on the north side of the IB-grade state road 12, which are partially realized, the area covered by this decision comprises a considerable space of the planned industrial zone, which is a logical extension of the entryway business zones in the northern part of the building area of Novi Sad – Djuric said and added that the Chinese giant Lianbo was also to arrive to the Industrial Zone in Kac not long after.

As Djuric pointed out, additional investments amounting to about EUR 369,000,000 and the creation of 1,235 new jobs are planned for the next period.
