About PepsiCo Western Balkans

In its 16 years of operations in the market of the Western Balkans, following the acquisition of the local company Marbo Product d.o.o., PepsiCo has invested in new production lines, an increase of the capacities and an expansion of the portfolio, the working conditions and the employees, as well as environmental protection platforms. PepsiCo Western Balkans stands out as one of the most important producers of salty snacks in the region with the brands Chipsy, Clipsy, Pardon and Gud, which have become part of the global PepsiCo portfolio. The local portfolio has been expanded with a world-known PepsiCo brand: the famous tortilla chips Doritos.

By introducing the new production line and expanding the production capacities, the factory in Maglic now also produces the globally popular brand Lay’s, from local ingredients, and for the purposes of export to the EU markets.

The production takes place at the factory in Maglic near Backi Petrovac, which, thanks to the investments meant for the upgrade of production lines and the construction of the most modern storage of finished products, is the regional production center of PepsiCo for the markets of the Western Balkans, whereas the central distribution center for the entire market of Bosnia and Herzegovina is located in Laktasi. Special attention is paid to people, their education and strengthening, and the company has received the Top Employer recognition for its operations in Serbia for the tenth year in a row, as well as three Top Employer recognitions for its operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The results of the business philosophy are also visible through corporate responsibility and cooperation with local partners and suppliers, as well as numerous initiatives for the local community and environmental protection through the implementation of modern technologies for the reduction of CO2 emissions, the reduction of the consumption of electrical energy and water and the increase in recycling.
