Beer Fest in Belgrade expects million visitors - 45 music bands at four-day festival of beer
The biggest beer festival in southeast Europe - Beer Fest, guarantees all visitors a traditionally good time at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers between August 17 and 21. About 45 music bands will perform at the festival. The entrance will be free of charge, the same as in all the previous years, and the European tourism website that promote the festival announce a record number of visitors - over 900,000, which would beat the last year's record.
The music programme of Beer Fest literally justifies the slogan "Fun for All". The line-up for the first night includes "Sinobusi", Vasil Hadzimanov, "Negativ", "Riblja Corba", Elvis Kurtovic, and British DJ Маrk Knight.
Famous "Simple Minds" will perform on the second day, August 18th, as part of their European tour. Aside from this British band, the 2nd day performers are Zvonko Bogdan, "Goblini", "Orthodox Celts", "Sevdah Baby".
"New" regional bands will perform on Friday, Saturday and Sunday - "S.A.R.S", "Dubioza kolektiv", "Zemlja gruva", "Svi na pod", "Lolobrigida", as well as some older "Yu - rock" bands such as "Kerber", "Atomsko skloniste", "Pips Chips & Videoclips", and inevitable Jura Stublic.
What will make this programme complete are the concerts performed by "Garavi sokak" (Friday), the trumpet players of Dejan Popovic (Saturday), and "Balkanika" and Kiki Lesendric (Sunday).
Beer Fest is held with the support of the City Assembly, the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, the Ministry of Environment, the Tourism Organization of Serbia, and the Tourism Organization of Belgrade.
