Reconstruction of Aeronautical Museum Planned – Tender for Preparation of Investment Estimate Published

The Nikola Tesla Airport has published the tender for the preparation of a study of an estimate of the investment in the Aeronautical Museum in Belgrade. The plan is for the museum to be reconstructed like similar museums in the world.

For the Aeronautical Museum building, a study of the current condition (for the whole building of around 10,500 m2) and an estimate of the investment should be prepared, so that, as said, the museum building would be reconstructed, so that its functional capability would be raised and so that, thereby, a modern and competitive museum in the region would be secured.

The facility, as added, is to retain its dimensions, with a preserved visual identity and architectural solution.

The task can be split into two phases: the analysis of the current condition and the preparation of the spatial-program study and the proposition of the assessment of the investment.

The construction of this facility began in 1975, but due to financial and technical problems, ended only in 1989. The Aeronautical Museum building has an area of around 6,000 m2 of exhibition space and 4,500 m2 of spaces for depots, workshops and the administrative part.
