Germans to Start Building High-Tech Factory in Cacak This Spring – Project Worth EUR 90 Million Last Investment to Arrive to This City?!

The construction of another factory of a German company is to start in Cacak this spring, stated the mayor of Cacak, Milun Todorovic. As he said, this will be the last company to arrive to this city, because there is no longer enough workforce in the labor market.

– As soon as this spring, we are looking at the beginning of the works for another foreign, German company, and that is the last company to arrive to our city, because we have no more people. We have no people in the market who can work in those companies. That company will have a high-tech potential, with up to 800 employees, of which 80% are highly educated. So, it’s another great opportunity for young people to stay in their city and to be able to implement their knowledge in the new factory with new technologies, from the STP, where they will create new values – Todorovic pointed out for Glas Zapadne Srbije.

In mid-2023, it was announced that a German investor from the automotive industry would build a factory in the Industrial Zone in Preljina, and the opening was announced at the time for the summer of 2024.

The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, also announced the new large German investment in Cacak. As he wrote on his official Instagram profile, “at the Presidency of Serbia, the final details regarding the investment of at least EUR 90 million in the greenfield investment, in the first phase alone, have been agreed.” It was also announced at the time that the construction would begin in October 2023.
