Kostas Macheras runs Delhaize in Southeast Europe - David Vander Schueren in charge of operations in Serbia
Belgium's Delhaize has completed the acquisition of Delta Maxi market chain, for which it paid EUR 932.5 million. As eKapija learns, the operations of that group in Southeast Europe will be run by Kostas Macheras, executive vice president and member of the Executive Committee of Delhaize Group.
John Kyritsis will be responsible for the territories of Greece and Albania, Xavier Piesvaux for Romania, David Vander Schueren will be in charge of operations in Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro, while Erikjan Lantink will run the company in Bulgaria. They are responsible for operations, supply chain, procurement, quality and development of operations in these countries.
Five managers of the previous Delta Maxi team will report to David Vander Schueren. Milos Ristic in the position of the Senior Vice President of "Category" Management will be in charge of the quality and supply chain in Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro. Jelena Knezevic Vlahovic has assumed the position of the Director of "Category" Management. Milos Jaukovic will be the director of the supply chain, Slobodan Rudan will be the director of operations in Serbia, whereas Vladimir Djilas will be in the position of "Country" Manager for Bosnia-Herzegovina. Aleksandar Jeric is the "country" manager for Montenegro, while Ivan Kostic will assume the position of the Director of Transit, Compensations and Indirect Purchase.
